May 17, 2015 · Themes regarding family, 'broken homes' and teenage pregnancy are central. This film does a very good job of portraying friendship and parental bonds. It seems to be a critical look at the nuclear american family as well as the phenomena of broken homes and absent fathers (and teenage pregnancy).
