Sep 30, 2024 · At a special event held at De La Salle College Belfast on Friday, the school community and a range of invited guests gathered to celebrate the school's recent successes. Guests included Brother Ben Hanlon, Brother Visitor of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta; Brother Francis Manning (past Principal) and Pat Walsh, Director of Formation.
In 1903, De La Salle College opened at Cospicua, and a second school was inaugurated in Sliema in 1904. From 1915 to 1918, the first scholarships at De La Salle College were launched and successful candidates joined the Dockyard course. Several of these workmen became the backbone of the foremost industrial enterprise on the island.
