Pig is one of my favourite films of all time. Such an unassuming film that grows into an incredibly emotional third act. I love how it seems to be about a very specific John Wick-esque story but then, like you said, creeps up into a story about love, loss, family, grief and authenticity.

I definitely had a very different read on the film. I think that it definitely goes to show that the chef was isolating himself from humanity and placing the entire burden of "human" connection on his pig, and also refusing to properly experience his grief and move on from it.
It's not John Wick or Mandy - it's a quiet, philosophical drama about a man trying to get his beloved pig back. Cage is excellent and gives one of his best performances to date. Great debut for the director as well - really patient filmmaking and beautiful cinematography.
