  1. The Brady family, dressed in 1920s period attire, are all laughing at the silly situation. When the Keystone Cop tries to throw a pie at the motorists, they duck and the pie sails through the air and hits Alice in the face! Greg and Peter laugh at her, only to get a pie each in the face from Alice.

  2. The clever transition here is when the gang gets to go on a movie studio tour (naturally Paramount's famous backlot) and a WILD, old fashioned pie fight begins, likely due to Oliver and his lousy luck.

Welcome Aboard is the seventeenth episode of Season 5 of The Brady Bunch, and the 111th overall episode of the series. Written by Larry Rhine and Al Schwartz and directed by Richard Michaels, it first aired 25 January 1974 on ABC.

Cousin Oliver comes to live with the Bradys and immediately causes a series of accidents, which lead him to believe that he is a jinx.

Carol's eight-year-old nephew Oliver comes to live with the Bradys while his parents are on a South American archaeological dig. Oliver wants to help and be friends with his new family, but in trying too hard, he causes accidents around the house, wrecking Jan's painting, spilling ketchup on Greg's shirt, causing Bobby to break flower pots in a tug-of-war, and causing Marcia to spill the dishes. Also, he snores heavily, and when Peter and Bobby try to silence him by rolling him over, they fall and break a lamp. While Greg and Marcia believe these were just accidents, the younger siblings become convinced that Oliver is a jinx.

After a lecture from Mike, they give up their superstition, but when next, Oliver ends up breaking both Marcia's and Mike's projects with a loose basketball, he himself thinks he is a jinx. The Bradys have scheduled a visit to a movie studio and Oliver decides to stay home, afraid that he may cause more accidents. However, the family has him come along, and when Oliver is the millionth customer and the family gets to appear in a 1920s-style comedy movie as extras, he starts to see it otherwise.
