Yes it is. Really enjoyed this movie when I was younger (early teens when it came out) and didn't even realise it got bad reviews. Maybe it'll be worse watching it now but I remember it as being a solid psychological horror
I think Gothika is a solid movie that aged surprisingly well considering it's 20 years old. i finished this film about five minutes ago, and it completely left me STUNNED. it was amazing and incredibly entertaining, and has easily become one….
On paper, Gothika seems like it should have worked, but there was just something that didn't click. Namely, the story was completely adrift, losing the audience almost immediately. That's something that even the best cast cannot save. The bottom line of the supernatural horror movie is interesting.

Is Gothika really 'that' bad? I was in the mood for a suspense/thriller the other night and decided to watch Gothika on Netflix, which I probably haven't seen in about ten years. This is by no means a 'great' movie but I don't think it deserves a 14% rating (Rotten Tomatoes).
