In 1978, Jimmy Lambatos and Todd Disner started a fine dining restaurant in Denver called Footers, which later became the first Quiznos location. It was a fast hit with customers. When Lambatos and Disner sold the company to local franchisee Rick Schaden, he made a decision that doomed the company.
