Can't sign in to Hotmail or Outlook.com?
Microsoft always keeps an eye out for unusual sign-in activity, just in case someone else is trying to get into your account. I want to stop signing in automatically
If Outlook.com automatically signs you in, turn off automatic sign in. 1.In Outlook.com, select your account picture at the top of the screen. 2.Select Sign out. 3.Go to the Outlook.com sign-in page and select Sign in. 4.Enter your email address or phone number and select Next. 5.On the Enter password page, clear Keep me signed in. 6.Enter your password and select Sign in.

Hotmail is now Outlook.com. To sign in to your Hotmail account, go to www.outlook.com and select Sign in. If you have forgotten your username or password, use our sign-in troubleshooter, but note that if you haven't signed in to your account for more than 2 years, your account may have been deleted.
For your personal email, are you using https://outlook.live.com/ to login to your account. For your school account, you should use https://outlook.office.com/ . Because your school account uses a different url, it is not necessary to logout of your personal account.
