As a teenager, he started his faith journey on a trip to Israel — the birthplace of both sides of his spiritual heritage. He met his wonderful wife, Kate, through an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship group in college. They live in Takoma Park, Maryland, with her mother and have two teenage children.
