Jul 20, 2023 · Dr Derek Connolly, a leading Birmingham cardiologist specialising in the detection, treatment and prevention of coronary heart disease, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by Aston University. Dr Connolly, who was recently appointed as a visiting clinical associate professor for Aston Medical School, received the honour at a ceremony at Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Thursday 20 July 2023.
