Denis Héroux (Montréal, 15 juillet 1940 - Montréal, 10 décembre 2015 [1]) est un producteur, réalisateur, scénariste et monteur québécois, récipiendaire de l'Ordre du Mérite et de l'Ordre du Canada [2].

Héroux was a Genie Award nominee as producer of the Best Picture finalist The Plouffe Family (Les Plouffe) at the 3rd Genie Awards in 1981, and won as producer of The Bay Boy at the 6th Genie Awards in 1985.

Héroux, the older brother of prolific Quebec film and television producer Claude Héroux, is a recipient of the Order of Canada. His other honours include two Genie Awards for Best Motion Picture: Les Plouffe (1981) and The Bay Boy (1985).
The Rebels (French: Quelques arpents de neige) is a Canadian drama film, directed by Denis Héroux and released in 1972. A historical drama set during the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1837, the film centres on the romance between Simon de Bellefeuille ( Daniel Pilon ), a rebel in the village of Saint-Benoît, and Julie Lambert (Christine Olivier).
