Oct 12, 2024 · The Bible addresses the question of the meaning of life in a variety of ways. Primarily, the Bible teaches that our ultimate purpose is to know, love, and glorify God. In Ecclesiastes 12:13, it says, “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”
- Genesis 1:27-28. Meaning and value of work. God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.
- Exodus 31:2-5. Meaning and value of work. I have filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
