Aug 25, 2022 · In the prayer of Psalm 86, we hear the passionate desire of David’s heart to do what God wanted him to do, to live the truth he believed, and to be undivided in his devotion to God: “Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name” (Psalm 86:11, ESV).
Fearing God means recognizing His power and holiness and being in awe of it. When you rightly recognize that power and holiness, fear is a natural response. That fear changes how you relate to God. Misunderstanding the fear of God can push you away from God.
