  1. Introduction. This talk will describe the beginning of a project for a new particles accelerator. Before any design of power supplies, the first step is to write a functional specification which describes the powering of the accelerator and the performance required by the power supplies.

The stability of the high precision power supplies used in an accelerator system is an important factor for obtaining highly stable beam output required for various experimental studies. Line, load and temperature variations are the three important factors against which these power supplies have to combat to maintain high stability.

Proper selection of rectifier circuit configuration for high ripple frequency to reduce ripple voltage

senses the residual field and controls the amplifier in such a way as to keep the net field zero. Figure 5: DCCT AA residual flux will cause asymmetry in the magnetizing current resulting in an output voltage fed to the power amplifier in the secondary circuit so that its output current restores perfect flux balance and hence zero residual field. ...

  2. The Digital Power Supply Control Mod-ule (DPSCM) is used to realize high-precision digital closed-loop control, which supports on-line debugging and PC control. Power supply can be used to correct the magnet power, with high efficiency, high stability, and fast response and so on.

  3. Power dissipation coupled with diminishing performance gains, was also the main cause for the switch from single-core to multi-core architectures and a slowdown in frequency increase. This book aims to document some of the most important architectural techniques that
