Dec 9, 2020 · This study explores the vehicle derailment mechanisms in train-to-train collision accidents. The numerical model of a train-track dynamics system is developed and validated. Vehicle behaviors under a 60 km/h impact indicate that the wheelset has the potential for climbing derailment.
