Feb 11, 2022 · Report. 3. The film is too long and slow, which detracts from the suspense and intrigue. The length of two hours and forty minutes is excessive, and the pace of the film is sometimes laborious. For example, the party scene on the boat is long and not very interesting.

Feb 11, 2022 · So much of “Death on the Nile” looks empty and artificial—a glossy, CGI-rendered version of legitimately grand and impressive sights. At times, this may as well be “Death on the Nile: The Video Game.”. Given how long the film has been delayed because of the pandemic, maybe that’s what it should have been. Now playing in theaters.

I was quite taken with Belfast director Kenneth Branagh’s updated version of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express. A murder mystery that offered a heaping spoonful of claustrophobic suspense with a killer finale.
