Then, unexpectedly in 1986 Haddon’s husband died, leaving her with little money or support.
Dayle's husband died suddenly in 1991, leaving her with little money and a fifteen-year-old daughter to raise alone. Not being able to afford any longer to live in her house, she had to rent it out and move into a small maid's room off a friend's kitchen. She also had to find work right away.
