David Hyde (1929 – ) was born on the Isle of Wight and later moved to the borders of Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. He studied with the watercolourist Stanley Gibb and the oil painter Robin Goodwin, and also with Derek Fowler, Head of Art at the City of London School.

David Hyde Pierce (born David Pierce; April 3, 1959) [1] is an American actor. For his portrayal of psychiatrist Niles Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier from 1993 to 2004, he received four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards .
