Based on God’s plans in writing (1 Chronicles 28:19), David made many preparations for the future temple (1 Chronicles 22:1-29:17), to be constructed under King Solomon’s leadership. Preparations were still being made in the final year of David’s reign (1 Chronicles 26:31).
