Dan Smith, far right, holding a washboard, helped found Riverrock—a Kansas City area country/bluegrass band—in the 1970s. Smith later worked as a booking agent for musical talent and although Riverrock never broke into the national music scene, they were inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2011.
