Feb 8, 2016 · Daniel Gerson, the screenwriter well known for "Monsters, Inc." died on Saturday, his family confirmed with an obituary on the New York Times' website. He was 49 years old. According to the obit, Gerson died peacefully at his home after a battle with brain cancer.
