The following year, 1956, Dalworth High had its first graduating class, with 5 seniors. In 1966, Dalworth once again became an elementary school. It was one of the most promising elementary schools in the Grand Prairie Independent School system. The school was renamed for David Daniels in 1994.
Taylor began playing sports in junior high school, and was playing football, baseball, basketball, and running in track by the eighth grade. [2] He played high school football at Dalworth High School. [2] In track and field, he competed in high hurdles, discus, shot put, and long jump.

About Our School. Sallye Moore's career in education covered a span of over forty years. She was the first African American to hold the Associate Superintendent position in GPISD. Before serving in this position, she honed her skills as a dedicated teacher at Dalworth High School and Grand Prairie High School.
In 1966, the Dalworth school system became part of GPISD. In 1967, Grand Prairie was named one of the top seven cleanest cities by Time Magazine. South Grand Prairie High School was built in 1969 with an enrollment of 448 students versus today’s 3,381.
Ground breaking for the first high school in Newport Beach began June 14, 1930, at an original construction cost of $410,000. [5] The original school comprised a main building, the main gym, the tower, a wood shop, the bus garage, and a caretaker's cottage. The total enrollment that first year was just 178 students, taught by 12 faculty members.
