Jul 18, 2021 · It had few special effects, the sets were poor, the direction and the cinematography were TV-like. THAT SAID, the lead character was part Kyle Reese, part Uncle Bob. There was time travel, and there were two Terminators ("Tracers" in the movie) programmed to find the lead character, GARTH A7, in order to kill him before he would alter the past and change the timeline!
Oct 11, 2017 · An extremely thin political sheen layered over a product with nothing else serious at all on its mind, and only mentioned maybe twice in the entire movie. The fun of the movie is the mixing of sci-fi elements into an otherwise straight-up spy fiction, fitting it into a sub-genre affectionately called spy-fi – but the fun ends in the description.
Dimension 5 is a low budget (probably around $125,000) spy film with sci-fi elements, the latter underdeveloped and underutilized. Unlike Cyborg 2087, which, given its cheapness, wisely limited the scope of its story, Dimension 5 aims for the grandiose, and in trying to emulate big studio spy movies costing 50 times more only looks ridiculous.
