Feb 2, 2022 · To me, the 3.8 engine in an S1 revs up more happily and faster than the 4.2 in an S2 (both with tripe SU). While the higher torque of the 4.2 in an S2 is noticeable. My driving comparison is based on a 3.8 S1 with Moss box and 3.31 diff, and a 4.2 S2 with the Jag box and 3.07 diff.
