Corleone (Italian: [korleˈoːne]; Sicilian: Cunigghiuni [kʊnɪɟˈɟuːnɪ] or Curliuni [kʊɾlɪˈuːnɪ]) is an Italian town and comune of roughly 11,158 inhabitants in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in Sicily.
Corleone, city, western Sicily, Italy. The name Qurliyūn is found in Arab sources of the 9th century ce; the city was probably an earlier Byzantine foundation. Made a military center by the Hohenstaufen rulers of Sicily from the 10th century, it later passed under Spanish rule.
