May 3, 2010 · Hey all, messed around in Photoshop and came up with some area of effect templates you can print out and lay on top of your maps to determine spell ranges. Here are some small previews and then the pdf is attached below.
Hello everyone, HERE is a link to download (for free) 23 hand-drawn transparent spell effect templates for your VTT. These were made specifically for Pathfinder Second Edition and snap right into Roll20 or Foundry.
Im completely new to Pathfinder as a whole, I do however play DnD, but ive wanted to make the switch over to pathfinder for a little while now. The thing that has been holding me back however, has been the lack of what i deemed as clear, and good character sheets. So, I made designed my own.
I would love to see ruler type templates that are based on the area effects of spells that we could just drop on top of the map to see who is affected, quick and easy. Or select a template and drag it out from the casting position and see what it effects at that range.
A cone-shaped spell shoots away from you in a quarter-circle in the direction you designate. It starts from any corner of your square and widens out as it goes. You pick the corner, and you pick the direction.
No one expects you to create stunning maps that look as professional as those in published adventures. Just follow some best practices to make your maps both interesting and clear.
