Christopher Manning is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Linguistics at Stanford University. His research interests include probabilistic models of language and statistical natural language processing, constraint-based theories of grammar (HPSG and LFG), computational lexicography, and syntactic typology.
He is the founder of the Stanford NLP group (@stanfordnlp) and was an early proponent of open source NLP software with Stanford CoreNLP and Stanza. He is an ACM Fellow, a AAAI Fellow, and an ACL Fellow, and a Past President of the ACL (2015).
