Who is the 2022-era Christopher Hitchens? Hitch was irreplaceable, of course, but I’d like recommendations on modern thinkers who have some of Hitch’s qualities that made him such a potent intellect. That is: Contrarianism: unafraid to dissent against the common narrative when you are convinced you’re right.

It is a book in the vein of Hitchens’ own slim volumes on Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger and Mother Teresa – only, as I’m sure Burgis would concede, not nearly as eloquent.
