Johann Christoph married Maria Elisabeth Wiedemann in 1667. They had seven children, including four sons who became musicians: [3] Johann Nicolaus (10 October 1669 – 4 November 1753), Johann Christoph Jr. (29 August 1676 – 1738), Johann Friedrich (1682–1730), and Johann Michael (1685–unknown).
Dec 9, 2021 · J.S. Bach's third and fourth children, twins, were born on 23 February 1713 when Bach was 28. Johann Christoph lived no longer than a few hours after his birth, and his sister died a few weeks later, around the 13 March 1713.
From almost the day of his birth on March 21st 1685, Bach's early years in the small town of Eisenach were tinged with family tragedy. But despite his difficulties, Bach's musical journey took shape when he was just a small child.
Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany in 1685. As a child, Bach's father taught him to play violin and harpsichord. One of his uncles, Johann Christoph Bach, introduced him to the art of organ playing. In 1707, Bach married his second cousin Maria Barbara Bach. They had seven children.

1694. J.S. Bach’s mother Elisabeth died in May. 1695. Bach’s father, Johann Ambrosius Bach, died on 20 February. Now an orphan, Bach moved to Ohrdruf, where he lived with his brother Johann Christoph, fourteen years his senior and the organist at St Michael’s Church.
