Dec 9, 2021 · J.S. Bach's third and fourth children, twins, were born on 23 February 1713 when Bach was 28. Johann Christoph lived no longer than a few hours after his birth, and his sister died a few weeks later, around the 13 March 1713.
Johann Christoph married Maria Elisabeth Wiedemann in 1667. They had seven children, including four sons who became musicians: [3] Johann Nicolaus (10 October 1669 – 4 November 1753), Johann Christoph Jr. (29 August 1676 – 1738), Johann Friedrich (1682–1730), and Johann Michael (1685–unknown).

From almost the day of his birth on March 21st 1685, Bach's early years in the small town of Eisenach were tinged with family tragedy. But despite his difficulties, Bach's musical journey took shape when he was just a small child.
After his first wife died, Johann Sebastian Bach married Anna Magdalena Wilcken, a gifted soprano and daughter of the court trumpeter of Prince Saxe-Weissenfels. They had 13 children, of whom Johann Christoph Friedrich (the "Bückeburg Bach") and Johann Christian (the "London Bach") became significant musicians.
