Nov 20, 2022 · The power of the story is supported by a nuanced score by composer and classical pianist Christine Aufderhaar, whose music helps guide us into the emotional experience of Aurora. We caught up with Aufderhaar ahead of its screenings at PÖFF to chat about the project.
“Her music fits, strikes the right emotional tone, establishes relationships (….) and is, in line with her own Aufderhaar pattern, always discreetly, subtly drawn, not chattering. Christine Aufderhaar accomplishes the rare feat of creating a very strong effect by employing musical economy.”
In 2007, the members of the Federation of Film & Audiovisual Composers of Europe selected Christine Aufderhaar as "European Composer 2008 for Switzerland" and in 2013 she was nominated for the German Musikautorenpreis. Her concert and stage music is performed internationally.
Christine Aufderhaar wrote the score to many award-winning films. She currently lives in Berlin, where she writes and produces music for film, television and concert.
Christine Aufderhaar. Composer: Tatort. Christine Aufderhaar graduated from the 'Conservatory Lugano' in classical piano performance (piano class of Nora Doallo, composition class of Paul Glass).
CHRISTINE AUFDERHAAR holds both German and Swiss citizenship. She grew up in a scientifically oriented family, so her parents tried their best to prevent her from becoming a musician.
