Chesty: A Tribute to a Legend is a documentary directed by John Ford and narrated by John Wayne. [1] [2] [3] It was filmed in 1970, but not released until 1976, three years after Ford's death. It was the final film directed by John Ford.
John Ford's final film, a TV documentary tribute to a retiring U.S. marine general. Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller is his name, still the most decorated marine in U.S. military history, and John Wayne narrates his life story.
