   • Sign in to vote. CELL is the big-screen adaptation of one my least favourite Stephen King novels. I do like the subject of zombies but in the hands of King they ended up being ridiculous. This film version gets rid of some of the dumber elements from the novel - the levitation scenes, for example - but is still in no way good.

   • The lower-budget "Cell" (2016) wasn't quite the spectacular horror movie that I was hoping for. (A Stephen King zombie film?!) But it was still pretty good — I'd give it an 8 out of 10. The screen writing and directing are average. The acting seems uneven too.

   • There are times when Cell feels like it's almost parodying most undead movies. Other times it's terrifying enough to have you never wanna pick up your BlackBerry again. Critics have loathed Cell ever since it came out calling it amateurish, clunky, and inept. I digress. Don't knock this film until you've seen it. Rating: 3 stars.
