Jan 24, 2012 · In fact, it's far quicker to just slap the bolt catch/release while the weapon is in or on it's way to the ready position than to un-shoulder the weapon, pull charging handle back, and re-shoulder the weapon. The extra spring pressure helps, and it's not adding steps.
Jan 6, 2021 · Charging handle reloads are more appropriate for guns that don't lock open on the last round or otherwise don't have a bolt release. Think of it like a G3 or MP5 with no HK slap. Because that's how I feel about the topic.
