In 2014 the Quality Assurance Agency carried out the Higher Education provision inspection at Carmel College. In 1999, Carmel College became the first Associate College of the University of Liverpool offering a range of 4 year Science and Engineering degree courses with the first year of study at Carmel College. In 2006, the college started a new programme offering students a Foundation Year Zero that leads directly on to Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Sciences at the University of Liverpool.
At Carmel College, you will take three foundation modules chosen from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Geography, depending on which degree route you want to follow. In your second year, you will attend the University of Liverpool and take the same modules as other students on your chosen programme.
The University of Liverpool’s Careers and Employability Service maximises opportunities for career prospects, graduate opportunities, student summer placements and the annual engineering careers fair with 30 blue chip companies attending (including Jaguar Land Rover, Nestle, Toyota, JCB, British Army, United Utilities, ABB Ltd, Network Rail, BAE Systems and many more).
