Although the humor with Dug of getting ready for the date was funny, I believed it messed up part of Carl's character by having him spontaneously agree to go on a date and then pushing away the framed photo of Ellie. HE LITERALLY PUSHED HER AWAY AND COULDN'T BARE TO TALK TO HER PICTURE.

Jun 21, 2023 · “Carl’s Date” is a fun reunion for fans of “Up.” The short is sweet and simple but doesn’t really feature any other characters besides Carl and Dug. I feel like it could have been more memorable if it wanted to involve more characters from the iconic Pixar film.
