Aug 26, 2023 · Can You Visit Swallow Falls? Yes, you can visit Swallow Falls which is located just 6 minutes from Betws y Coed by car. There is a car park right near the entrance and steps lead you to the viewpoints in less than two minutes.
There are a limited number of free lay-by parking spaces along the road just outside the entrance to Swallow Falls Wales. Alternatively you can park in the pay and display car park of the Swallow Falls hotel opposite. If you make a purchase from the hotel it will be refunded.
Also, if you are going by car and put the postcode into your satnav, it just falls short of the actual waterfall itself and the parking area at the Swallow Falls Hotel. The car park for the aforementioned hotel was actually closed but there is parking in a roadside lay-by adjacent to the entrance of the falls.

Jan 1, 2024 · You can walk, drive and even take public transport. Driving to Swallow Falls – if you are on a Snowdonia road trip, it’s really easy to access Swallow Falls on the roadside. You can easily drive from Betws-y-Coed to access the waterfall in a few minutes. Or, you can drive from Capel Curig, Llanberis or even Conwy.
Sep 16, 2022 · Where Can You Park to Access Swallow Falls? There is a very limited number of free lay-by parking spaces along the road just outside the entrance to Swallow Falls — but, and it’s a big but, if you’re not there at the crack of dawn on a busy summer’s day, you don’t stand a chance.
Swallow Falls can be seen by the roadside, so parking must be done with care, although there is ample parking along the A5 and at the Swallow Falls Hotel. It is observed far more dramatically if approached on foot along the northern bank, but the terrain there is rough.
