A wild fire dragon cannot be tamed without cheats turned on, the only way to tame one without is by hatching one. Fire Dragon eggs must be placed within a fire to start the hatching process. Once the egg starts moving, it will take a few minutes to hatch.

You should attack a fire dragon first with a fire resistance potion, they can kill you with only their breath attack. And a few enderpearls too, you can't outrun them, and can't beat them in melee. Well, that's all I know about tamed dragons, hope it's helpfull.
