If the answers are "no", I would pick the Beartooth. If the answers are "yes", I would pick the Chief Joseph Highway. The Beartooth is more "wow!".

   Is Chief Joseph Scenic Byway worth it?

   • If you love scenic drives... Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, aka highway 296, was worth the small diversion heading north to Glacier NP. Along the byway there are turnouts with gorgeous views. We didn't spend much time at any of the turnouts; we didn't plan to do any hikes. You will notice that this is open range country. We didn't see much wildlife.
