Can I apply to more than one degree at the School of Music? Yes, applicants can apply for up to two degree programs for the same instrument or area. There is no additional cost.
Applying to more than one degree program. If you are applying to the A.D. program, for example, and you would also like to be considered for another degree program (such as the M.M.A., M.M., or Certificate), you must select A.D. as your primary degree program on the online application. Then you may select a secondary degree program.
The Yale School of Music awards the following graduate-professional degrees: Artist Diploma program, for performers holding a minimum of a high school diploma. Bachelor of Arts/Master of Music (B.A./M.M.) program, offered in conjunction with Yale College.
No one may apply to the D.M.A. program more than twice. Students in their first year of the School’s M.M.A. or Artist Diploma (A.D.) program who are admitted to the D.M.A. program forfeit their enrollment in the other program.
