There are many ways to play Halo Infinite with friends online using the Xbox network, such as competitive Multiplayer, Campaign mode via Network Co-Op, and building Forge maps. Halo Infinite also features cross-play, which allows you to play with friends on either PC or Xbox consoles.
Multiplayer games can be a combination of people you do not know and members of your fireteam. To only play with friends and avoid matchmaking, select Custom Games. From the main menu (Play), select Multiplayer. Choose a multiplayer playlist from the list.

Halo Infinite multiplayer is free-to-play and available on PC and Xbox consoles. On PC, it can be installed through the Xbox app or Steam. On Xbox consoles, it can be installed through the Store or Game Pass app.
