Although her role as the singing nun-turned-nanny-turned-mother Maria and her role as "Mary Poppins" are her most famous, Andrews would go on to star in films directed by accomplished filmmakers, including Alfred Hitchcock, Garry Marshall, and Blake Edwards, who she would be married to for just over 40 years until his death.
