Never been to the country but I typically like cities, towns, archutecture, history, neighborhoods and - if distinctive - some nature. I spent 2 weeks in Romania last year and really loved the country.
We went to Bulgaria in July 2011 and loved it so much we are going back this July for a week again. We stayed in the Riu Helios and have booked for the same hotel - it was lovely. The Bulgarian people are friendly. We are in our mid 40's and had no trouble with anyone or anything.
