The center is located at 2202 South Coast Hwy, adjacent to the 220-acre Buena Vista Lagoon Ecological Reserve. The 3,500 square foot facility houses a series of interpretive displays featuring local wildlife, and has a natural history library, small gift shop, and meeting rooms.
May 4, 2023 · Buena Vista, Colorado more than lives up to its name. The positively tiny and utterly charming small town, located just over a two-hour drive south of Denver, is an outdoor lover’s dream.
Blink and you'll miss the small sign and obscure entrance, but go back and visit the Buena Vista Audubon Center. Go early in the morning for the best bird-watching, and walk the nature trail ready to take pictures. Kids' activities in the summer, too!
Jul 6, 2021 · A beautiful, very easy nature hike can be enjoyed at the south end of Oceanside near the Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center. The quarter mile hike follows a quiet looping trail with views of the Buena Vista Lagoon Ecological Reserve. Yesterday I walked the trail and took these photographs.
