The Book Band scheme features 17 levels, starting with Lilac (Level 0) and progressing to Black (Level 16). The first 13 levels, up to Lime, are primarily intended for early years to Key Stage 1 pupils, while the higher levels are designed for more advanced readers in Key Stage 2.
