Jason Ferus Blum ( / blʌm /; [2] born February 20, 1969) [1] [3] is an American filmmaker. He is founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, which has produced the horror franchises Paranormal Activity (2007–2021), Insidious (2010–2023), The Purge (2013–2021), and Halloween (2018-2022).
Blumhouse is known mainly for producing horror films, such as Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister, The Purge, Unfriended, The Gallows, Split, Get Out, Happy Death Day, Halloween, Ma, Freaky, The Invisible Man, The Black Phone, M3GAN and Five Nights at Freddy's.
Blumhouse has also produced a variety of live-events including The Blumhouse of Horrors, haunted house experience in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, The Purge: Fear the Night, a live-event inspired by the backstory to the feature film and The Purge: Breakout, an immersive escape game experience.
