Billy: The Early Years is a 2008 American biographical film directed by Robby Benson. The film tells the story of the early life of evangelist Billy Graham, played by Armie Hammer. After almost a year and a half of delays, the film was released on DVD on March 16, 2010.
There was a war between the cattle rancher John Chisum and Billy the Kid's gang in 1878. This is known as the Lincoln County War. Sheriff Pat Garrett hunted Billy down. He was locked up in a Lincoln jail. But then escaped. Garrett caught him again and shot him in 1881. McCarty was 21.
