- American
Sculptor and teacher, born in Moniaive, Dumfriesshire. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art, 1953–9, and École des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1959–60. He went on to teach sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, head of school 1990–7, being appointed professor in the faculty of art and design, Heriot–Watt University, 1994.
Bill Scott was a respected Scottish sculptor who was a dedicated supporter of the visual arts in Scotland. He trained at Edinburgh College of Art, and afterwards continued his training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

William Neville Scott OAM (4 October 1923 – 22 December 2005) was an Australian author, folklorist, songwriter, poet, and collector of bush ballads and Australian folk history. He has published anthologies of Australian bush songs, including the best selling book The Complete Book of Australian Folklore published in 1976.
