May 5, 2022 · Suddenly BBC I Player will not load. When I select it from the menu, the start up screen loads then a circle spins and after about 20 seconds the tv goes back to the broadcast channel it was on before. Other apps e.g ITV hub work fine I have tried: Full Power off Delete and reinstall app Update all apps Restart Smart Hub Factory reset
Mar 28, 2023 · Hi just recently got a QE43Q60BAUXXU tv. Subtitles are turned on in the settings but aren’t showing on any programmes. I’ve checked for updates but it says it’s up to date. Any ideas please. Thanks

But as you can see from the screen shot, seems like the setting in the TV is off for subtitles and i cant change it. I tried plugging off the tv and when i turned it back on, for a few moments the subtitle option was not grey..
Jan 30, 2024 · I'd forgotten about this thread as I gave up trying to get it to work. Using the beta version did work but only for a short while. It's less than useless on the TV so we use the player on our Manhattan PVR. Works every time. I've lost all hope on Samsung (I presume it's their problem) ever releasing an update to fix it. Feb 14, 2024 · For me personally the biggest disadvantage of built-in player in Samsung TV is an enforcement of subtitles during video playback - VLC is one example of the good player, that does not do the same. To disable subtitles - pretty much as switching between audio tracks - you need clicking navigation buttons on remote control multiple times and it is for each video sample of course 😫
