Beatrice Behan (née Ffrench-Salkeld) (1928-1993), Painter. Sitter in 4 portraits. It was after studying Art and working as an assistant at the National Museum in Dublin that Beatrice, the daughter of painter Cecil ffrench-Salkeld, would meet Brendan Behan, marrying him in 1955.

Behan, Beatrice (1925–93), artist and memoirist, was born 31 December 1925 at Mount St., Dublin, eldest daughter of the artist Cecil ffrench Salkeld (qv), ARHA, and Irma Salkeld (née Taesler), a domestic economy instructress from Berlin. She was a grandaughter of the poet Blanaid Salkeld (qv).
