Jun 17, 2014 · For what it's worth, my car burns M1 0w40 at 1/2 to 1/4 quarts every 3000 miles. It burns zero oil when I run Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40. The better oil may be the one that your car likes the best.
May 29, 2021 · hey guys i recently went stage 2 on my b9 s4 and noticed a leak around my oil filler cap i went ahead and replaced the oil separator and all gaskets. there is also a new cap and it still seems to leak oil around the cap. anyone have dealt with this issue??
Apr 21, 2018 · Yes the manual says one thing and the dealer says another. I’ve spoke to two different dealers and they both strangely said that they use 5W-30 for all their engines now. They sell 0w-30 as a top-up oil in the dealership but it’s not necessarily the proper oil for your car. Yes it’s all confusing.
Feb 21, 2018 · There is a sticker under the hood -- with the correct oil REQUIREMENT clearly stated. The 2018 S4 has a "B-cycle" engine -- this means it REQUIRES the oil shown in the previous post. I have NOT seen this oil at the retail stores, but I've also only looked casually.
Jun 25, 2020 · I am on the hunt for the best (or most optimal) oil for my 2015 (B8.5) Audi S4. I have been looking into motor oils for my car and I have found these three that seem to be good oils. I'm looking at the MOTUL SPECIFIC 505 01 502 00 5W-40, MOTUL 8100 X-CESS 5W-40, and the Penrite HPR 5 5W-40 (Full Synthetic).

I am not driving the car excessively hard and roughly do around 8000 miles per year.
